We counted with seeds, grew seeds and opened them up to see the little embryo (baby plant) inside the seeds. We were able to take the coat off of our seeds because we soaked them in water before our observations. The experience of growing vegetables, making salsa and then getting to taste the salsa was really fun for everyone! We were feeling pretty happy here...It was fun to dress up too!We have been working on the covers for our kindergarten showcase day which is coming up on Friday, May 10th at 7:20 in our classroom, right before the wonderful Mother's Day show with Mrs. Martin. So sweet...I shared a copy of "Blanket Boy" with the class a few weeks ago which my son, James wrote when he was little. He copied the style of Captain Underpants. I was quite surprised when Zan showed up one morning with his own version. The class really enjoyed hearing it and I was really proud of his creativity and effort. It is really fun to see my students inspire each other.Be prepared for the bean plants that will be coming home to you very very soon...They are getting really tall.
