We had so many wonderful parents that came to help us with our pumpkin math day. It was so much fun for the kindergarten students. We can't thank you enough for helping and we are grateful for all of the supplies sent in for this special day too.

Harry's mom surprised us with some delicious ghost cookies for Harry's birthday.Mrs. Hendrichs came to teach us a lesson. She is one of our talented and gifted teacher on campus.Here we are guessing Carmela's sorting rule for geometry. Mrs. Bamford let us explore geometry on the I-Pads and the boys were watching all of the rain just pouring down!One rainy day, Mrs. Kaiser helped us to add our names to our words wall so we can write to our friends.We are finding magnets to be amazing!Celebrating Red Ribbon week was really fun! Here we are in our Super Hero gear! Don't forget pumpkin math is on Halloween day from 8:00-9:00 am. If you are volunteering, allow time to sign in. If you are sending in a pumpkin or some supplies, feel free to send them in Monday or Tuesday. We really appreciate the donations!We were surprised by how much the heat from the wok changed our crayons. It was exciting to draw with our rainbow crayons later.How many sides and vertices does a rhombus, trapezoid or hexagon have? Just ask us! WE know!We are still talking about the day we made applesauce in the crock pot!We shook some ingredients to make ice cream but it wasn't quite solid enough so we will try it again soon. The liquid was pretty tasty though.Mrs. Carneiro is very excited to begin reading groups!Making books is hard work but we love to share our stories!We talked about meeting writers at the Austin Book Festival!We are experimenting with light, sound and heat (thermal) energy!Our third grade reading buddies come to read to us every Friday! It is wonderful to have some older friends at school! |
