Discovering the capacity of different containers...I loved to see the kids sharing and taking turns with this math activity!We are learning so much with "hands-on discovery...We predicted which material would be the heaviest and then we used our scales to find out! There were some surprises!Science brings us a study of the seasons. It's nice to have some winter weather to go with it!I enjoyed the snow day at home with my dog Charlie and he played with the toys from his "Bark Box".STEAM night will be on Thursday, Jan. 18th from 6:00-7:30. Please come to see the winter homes that we are building for our animals. There will be many interesting activities throughout the school!We are going to miss our German teacher but can't wait to learn Spanish!Here we are discovering how to measure length.Our putty and play dough came in handy to build things "longer and shorter" than our picture cards.It was fun t0 measure our paper strips to create Christmas trees!Reading and relaxing...We were so excited to have some moms and dads come to our holiday party! The party was so much fun!Have you seen the new library in downtown Austin? I've included a picture of the reading porch on the children's level. It has a beautiful view of Town Lake!
