We were watching closely to see if the fifth graders would be able to fly their hot air balloons! As the balloons began to go up, the kids began to cheer. Science really is amazing.Tired friends after the Thinkery trip and subtraction games. We can cover some cubes and see how many are left. Sometimes we use dice to decide how many to take away. The cardinals are looking forward to planting vegetables for our salsa when we return to school. We will also be cleaning out our reading bins because we are all ready for some harder books. That is really exciting to think about. Watching the balloon launch makes me want to read one of my favorite books "Danny Champion of the World" by Roald Dahl. This would be an excellent read aloud for spring break. I will be visiting old friends in sunny San Diego next week. Have a fun and restful week together.
